Crytek (Far Cry) has signed a license agreement with Sweden-based MindArk, creators of Entropia Universe, that will allow Entropia to use Crytek's game engine, called CryENGINE 2.

Entropia users can expect more realistic graphics, improved physics, and more lifelike animations. MindArk hopes that the engine boost will help Entropia compete a little better against World of Warcraft and Second Life



















Entropia also features a micro economy with their equivilate of the Linden Dollor being the PED, at 10PED = 1$10 US. They have a strange model for collecting fees and making $.

Entropia Universe users do not pay any fixed fee or monthly subscription fee in order to be part of the Entropia Universe. User's costs are the equipment and objects that they collect and which wear out with use. Users must regularly upgrade their possessions via special automated service stations to retain full capacity.

By simply transferring your PED to the Cash Card using the Transfer Center in the Entropia Universe, you can use the Cash Card to to pay for goods and services in retail outlets, or to withdraw real cash from millions of ATM machines around the world.
