As many of you know I run KONA Radio in world and it has been on the air for well over a year. But my actual station has been up and running since 1 May 2004. I began broadcasting terrestrially using a low power FM transmitter kit and followed it up with an AM transmitter in February 2005. My station's first name was "Cherry Hill Radio" and I covered the neighborhood I lived in at the time. At the time I only had some 2,400 tracks and in the past 4 years it has swollen to to some 5,600 tracks. I still broadcast over the air on 91.1Mhz FM stereo and 1620 KHz on the AM band. 4 years and only 3 days of down time. Quite the record for a hobby station!
