There's got to be a way. I know that some systems throw emails out of ones posts.. and that some systems allow posting to be made by email.. so maybe that's a way. And then there's the feed burner thingy (which I don't really understand). Maybe that's the answer.
Unless you're talking about a feature of FeedBurner that I'm unaware of, FeedBurner is simply an RSS aggregator. They provide an easy way of reading many blogs, while giving the blog owner a way of counting feed reads as well as reads on the blog itself.
I was about to ask on this forum if there was a way to crosspost here as well as other blogs. For crossposting (places other than ning) I use semagic, which works excellently with Blogger, Wordpress (worrpress.com and self-hosted), and Livejournal plus any of its many clones, and most recently also vox.com It'll allow you to pick one or more of your blogs and post the same to all at once. Its the best blogging client I've found so far.
blog on http://iheartsl.com , and if http://fashionplanet.worldofsl.com likes your article they will feed it too. But be warned, a post only stays on the front page for a day or so, they have lots of contributors.
Well.. I learned the the term "Blogging Client" seems to apply to this concept.. allowing one to write and manage several blogs from the comfort of ones desktop.
Found a program called "ecto" that we mac people seem to be using.. (though a reviews had a windows person looking down on it) Still on the hunt for something that might work effectively.. Especially for here on NING.com and would love to use this kind of thing in association with SLProfiles.com, Myspace.com, SLFirst.com.. etc.
Will continue to dig.
(would be good if i could figure out which api these things use, or if one can "email in" a post. That seems to be another way to crosspost..
Here's something to look into.. All kinds of programs, for Windows, mac, etc. "link" standard disclaimers apply.. but I'm having a blast trying out new programs!
If you use microblog sites like Twitter & Jaiku, and social networking sites like facebook, beebo, myspace & plaxo, you can update them all using hellotxt.com's web interface. Doesn't yet work for blogger, livejournal, wordpress etc, but it's pretty good. For the larger blog sites I tend to use the blogging client that's part of the Flock web browser. Flock's based on Firefox but has a number of bloggy / social networking features that make it really useful.
